A few weeks ago I had the chance to have lunch at Current Fish and Oyster in Salt Lake City.

I was was very pleased.  Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and great food.

Their Clam Chowder is a tasty and healthy change from the more common style around here which is based on heavy cream.

I enjoyed the Grilled Trout Sandwich on a Brioche bun.  The trout was fresh and cooked to perfection.  Actually, it was the best trout I’ve had here in Utah.

I’ll be back for sure!  Nice job Current!

By the way Gourmandise The Bakery, French-inspired nook with an all-day cafe menu that’s renowned for its made-from-scratch desserts, is right up the street (300 East).
